Wired magazine has the lowdown on how Google Chrome came to be. Titled “Inside Chrome: The Secret Project to Crush IE and Remake the Web,” the story offers an inside view of Chrome’s genesis and why Google has just re-ignited the browser wars.
All in all, Chrome is a very promising browser. The key to its success, I think, is the availability of plugins and add-ons that would extend its functionality. (Chrome was released only today so there aren’t any plugins or add-ons yet.) Google Chrome should give Firefox and IE a run for their money.

In a short statement on Monday, Globe said “Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to the Philippines, Singapore, India, and Australia later this year. More information will be released at a later date.”
This, of course, is great news to Filipinos who’ve been holding their breaths since iPhone’s launch.

The contentious political debates over NAFTA (The North American Free Trade Agreement) in this year’s presidential race may miss the central point about the emerging international threat to the American economy.
The real threat is not the shift of manufacturing jobs to South America or Asia, the traditional concern of unions and those who [...]
Despite efforts by Philippine call center companies to glamorize the industry, call center agents are resigning, job-hopping, transferring or being fired by the hundreds as fast as they are being hired.

The problem, of course, is that the [...]

I’m going to top his claim: I have not used Microsoft Word for about five months now.
My disaffection with Microsoft [...]

In a report released today, Greenpeace Philippines disclosed that tests made by the group on the iPhone determined that the popular device contains hazardous chemicals and materials. “Apple could have demonstrated that it is a true industry leader with a green iPhone. Unfortunately, Apple missed that call and the public is left with an Apple that is no greener than what was promised by Steve Jobs in May,” said Beau Baconguis, Greenpeace Southeast Asia toxics campaigner.
