Brian Gorrell and His (Sordid, Scorching, Sensational) Tale of Betrayal

PUBLISHED ON March 19, 2008 AT 11:03 AM ·

Are you concerned about the legal ramifications of your blog?

NO. I am not concerned at all.

At what point did you decide to let it all out in a blog? Did you at first try other means to get back your money, aside from pleading with them?

I tried everything. Pleaded my case to Christine and the rest of them. I went to the best lawyers in Manila. They all told me the same thing: Run from this. You will not win. Christine is involved. Mario is involved. CK is involved. They told me time and time again, “Walk away. This will be too big and very costly.” I was frightened.

But there’s the view that what you are doing is libelous. In fact, under Philippine laws, repeating what you said could put journalists in trouble.

I have said nothing that is untrue. People must not confuse my blog with the comments section.

I don’t care who views what. This is my blog and they will have to tear me away (from it). I do not respond to threats. I do not buckle easily. This blog is proof of that.

In many ways, your blog is unprecedented. Aren’t you concerned that people who have scores to settle might do what you did?

I think if you have exhausted EVERY OTHER METHOD, then yes, you owe it to your self to fight. Your self-esteem is at risk. Your sense of self-worth. WHY should another person get those things, too. Isn’t the money enough? It’s like twisting the knife after the plunge. If people don’t like my blog, don’t read it.

But people say all this is nothing but gossip. What do you say to that?

Well, I am about to post more proof. I don’t care what people say.

CK will have to tell people what he did with the 70,000 dollars that I sent him. Where is it? The tax department (Bureau of Internal Revenue) will be notified. I will NOT let CK get away with this without a fight. The fight of my life. I’m ready to do battle with any of them. It would be cheaper though to just pay me back.

The fight of my life — you meant that also in a literal sense, right?

100%. My HIV is not going away. I have nothing to lose because CK took almost everything. So they can pretty much f**k off. (Pinoypress.net)
