The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the sole official representative of the private business community, will hold the 33rd Philippine Business Conference of he Philippines and Expo (PBC&E)—the biggest annual business event in the country—on October 24-26 at the Manila Hotel.
For this year, the conference will carry the theme “ONE. GLOBAL. FILIPINO. Through PUBLIC-PRIVATE Partnership” which emphasizes the need for business sector and the government to forge partnership to bring about economic development and global competitiveness.
About a thousand industry leaders, businesspeople, and government representatives are expected to attend the conference and have the opportunity to learn new business trends, discover business opportunities, and discuss pertinent issues in addressing the country’s economic situation. The conference aims to create a vibrant business condition for current and future business investors in the country.
The 33rd PBC&E would be a mixture of fun and business at it features a golf tournament, trade expositions, business matching, break-out sessions, and awards, aside from the regular plenary sessions. Plenary topics would cover the areas of competitiveness, legislation, tourism, infrastructure, energy, open skies and ports, and transparency and good governance.
The PCCI is a non-stock, non-profit organization comprised of 1,200 direct members, 98 local chambers, 122 industry associations, and 30 foreign business councils, all working together for a more vibrant Philippine economy and to improve the viability of businesses in the country.
