“Merese” is part of the vocabulary of Mindanao gayspeak which translates to “Darn!” “Argh!” “Bloody hell!” “Merde!” Pardon my expletives. But my life is pretty dull for the past week. I’m a loser. Or is the blues?
Merese!
Around this time two years ago, my grandmother passed away. To cope with the grief, I started blogging. This blog is two years old now!
I’m not getting a well-deserved sleep for the past two weeks. I stay awake til 4 in the morning and then wake up around 10. With a headache. Stress, perhaps. Excitement, maybe.
But wait.
A rep from my publisher just emailed me to say that my book will not make it to Manila International Book Fair by the end of August. One of the reasons is that the cover color is so blue. Marketing department wants more color, after all it’s not called ‘Children of the Ever-Changing (Blue) Moon.’ But there is a reason to smile, she assured me. It means it will have a separate launch.
Will blog again when perky.
Sigh!
