Overseas Filipinos are up in arms because of the appreciation of the peso and are now considering, according to this GMANews.tv report, reducing their remittances to the Philippines in order to “show some muscle” and impress on the Philippine government that they have had enough. The OFWs want to peg the exchange rate for these remittances to P50 to the $1.

I want to share my disappointment on these ingrates. They don’t understand that the rising of the Peso would amount to the best facilities available, affordable imported products and services, and the ordinary people will surely benefit especially imported drugs will become cheap. Instead of grumbling ask our government to lower their tax fees so that they would be able to benifit too.

Excuse me??!! Ingrates?!! Itong si Jay yata eh hindi Pilipino… Nag buwis na ako ng 15 taon sa ibang basa na malayo sa mga mahal sa buhay. 10 taon na sacripisyo… Tawagin pa akong ingrate! Hoy burgoise! alam ko na di ka pa nakakaranas ng hirap sa buhay - inaalala mo lang eh kung anong imported na bagay ang dapat mo bilhin, sana naman eh tignan mo ang pananao naming mga OFW! Aba eh — ni hindi naman na-imprub and sweldo sa atin! Bilihin eh tumataas pa rin! Who @#$%&ing needs imported products and services if we have it locally! Best facilities? Not if you are rich or a tourist!

Ang tanging hangarin namin bilang OFW:
1. Makaahon sa kahirapan
2. Edukasyon ng mga anak
3. Magandang kinabukasan

Imported products and services… crap!
