Journalists to file suit vs Mike Arroyo Thursday

Several of the country’s journalists are going to file a class-action suit against First Gentleman Mike Arroyo tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Clerk of Court of the Makati Regional Trial Court. The suit, according to lawyer Harry Roque, who initiated it along with the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility, is meant to counter the series of libel suits Arroyo had earlier filed against dozens of journalists. The first gentleman, Roque earlier said, abused his rights and violated freedom of expression.
