The East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, is now accepting applications for its Spring 2007 Jefferson Fellowships. The program runs April 28 through May 26 with all participants traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii, and San Jose, California; Beijing and Shanghai, China; and Bangalore, India. Journalists from Asia Pacific are encouraged to apply.
I was a Jefferson Fellow in 2003 and I must say it was one of my best experiences. Take my word for it: apply now.

HONOLULU (Nov. 30) - The East-West Center (EWC) has announced it is now accepting applications for its Spring 2007 Jefferson Fellowships. The theme of the upcoming program is “Sharing the Benefits? Innovation Offshoring and Asia’s Emerging Knowledge Economies.”
The program runs April 28 through May 26 with all participants traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii, and San Jose, California; Beijing and Shanghai, China; and Bangalore, India.
The Fellowships are open to working print and broadcast journalists in the United States, Asia and the Pacific Islands with a minimum of five years experience. Airfare, lodging, per diem and most other expenses are provided through a grant from the Freeman Foundation.
